Hailey went outside to get some fresh air she saw a glare of metal in the distance but though nothing of it....but soon she changed her mind when she saw a barbed arrow flying towards her only to embed itself on her belly....Hailey yelped and colapsed

"This can't be good, I don't know what to do if its deeply embedded flesh..." Hannah mutters, and she kneels down by Hailey, and arrow lands very very close to her. "Take cover!!!" Hannah shouts and drags Hailey back in to the cave.

Hailey muttered and let out a string of unimaginable curses that would for sure leave everyones mind baffled

John had seen Hailey take the arrow and he immediately whipped out his longbow and returned a shot that yielded a satisfying gurgle from whoever the assailant was. John then rushed over to the wounded girl, carried her back into the cave, and laid her down on the floor.
"Hannah, I need you ta help, just hold Hailey's hand that's all I ask." John said, he then took out his med-kit and look at the wound. Hailey was lucky, the attacker hadn't pulled the string back all the way to muffle the sound of the bow and the arrow hadn't penetrated far; however, the arrow was barbed and would need to be cut out. So, John took out his dagger and made the arrow-hole slightly larger with one hand while keeping Hailey from moving with the other. Soon, the girl had passed out from the pain and with great difficulty, John slowly removed the arrow, ignoring the blood that was flowing out.
Once the arrow was out, John tossed it aside and bandaged the wound with a salve that was in the transformed pack and with a clean strip of linen.
John looked up at Hannah and said, "She'll live, the arrow didn't penetrate too awful far, she just needs some rest." John then stood up, donned his helmet, drew his sword, and walked cautiously to where the gurgling sound had come from. The sounds had stopped, but when John turned the man over he was shocked to see that it was no man, unless the men of this world were short, green, and had evil-looking ugly faces.
The creature was apparently not alone because several tracks led away from its body. Suddenly, a twig snapped under a heavy foot and John's mind kicked into gear and he began examining the area for any trace of the enemy. He had not far to look though, for at that moment three more of those ugly creatures came bursting out of the undergrowth and charged John. Unfortunately for them, John's reflexes were extremely fast and before the three creatures could swing, a single swing of John's sword had cut them down.
"Y'all, we need to get out of here, I'll carry the girl." he said as he cleaned of his blade, sheathed it, and picked up the girl. He then began following the map in the direction of the town that was on it.

the only sound that she managed to get out was a very weak barely audible whimper

"Okay," Hannah says and stands up. "hmmmm... what are those things?" she mutters to her self as she goes and picks up the halberd, not wanting to be unarmed, with those things they wouldn't care if or if not there was a weapon. She looks at the engravings on the staff. "those weren't there before..." She then starts to follow John.
