This was origionaly posted by the old shire Realm Leader - Estelarana. After not coming back for months I mad merry&Pippin the shire realm leader becasue she was co leading with silimaur in fangorn but she knows more about hobbits than ents so... "Hisilome" is a soup "rumored to have begun with the Wood Elves; the Laiquaquendi "Green Elves," you know; some of Legolas' people. We know that this delicious offering has a hint of woodlands, and something just a little fey, magical, or exotic about it. See what you think...." 8 ounces cauliflower florets 3 carrots, diced 2 celery stalks, diced 2 cups vegetable stock 1 tablesthingy curry powder 8 ounces half-and-half 1 clove garlic, minced dash of ginger salt, pepper, parsley to taste Bring stock to boil. Add vegetables and spices; reduce heat and cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add half-and-half and bring back to a boil, then reduce heat again. Allow the soup to thicken, stirring frequently to prevent sticking. Season to taste. Serves six. Preparation time: about 50 minutes. (Courtesy of oregonmag.com/hobbitfood.htm )
