Dervorin Son of the Lord of the Ringlo Vale. The Ringlo was a river in southern Gondor. On March 9, 3019, Dervorin led 300 men from the river valley to Minas Tirith to help defend the city against the forces of Mordor. The Battle of the Pelennor Fields was fought the next week on March 15. Names & Etymology: The meaning of Dervorin is not certain. The element der means "man." The element vorin may be derived from bor meaning "endure" or from voronda - alternate form vórima - meaning "steadfast in allegiance, in keeping oath or promise, faithful."
